Pukulan Cimande Combat:New Online Learning Experience

Over the past year I've been working on a project to help students who are on our long distance program who want to learn silat. We get an average of 12 to 15 emails a week from students who want to learn silat, but have no access to a teacher. Up to now the only way for students was to buy dvd's and try to learn from them.

On Monday 7th Sept we will be launching our new Online Long Distance Cimande Silat Training Programme. This will be the first of its kind, and students who are on the programme will get access to a weekly online lesson which will follow whats been taught in my regular weekly classes. This means if you live in Spain, UK, Russia, Brazil, Australia, America .... you be able to follow along what everyone else is learning that week, and become part of the Pukulan Cimande Combat Network.

This will even benefit students who can't make class some week, maybe due to work or illness, they have the opportunity to catch up. Students will also have the opportunity to email me directly with questions, on the lesson and if there areas of the art that they having difficulties we can plan to do extended lessons on this area. Along with this we plan to offer some of our workshops and classes on web cam, so you can follow along the classes / workshop live and if you have a training partner at the same all the more fun !
All this will run alongside our new Pukulan Cimande Combat Grading Dvd Productions will give you the most complete online training experience ever. Even though we know this doesn't replace having a teacher in the real class environment, it will be the next best thing

We plan to limited this to the first 250 to apply on line. If you like to pre-register your interest and be the first to received info on this new unique online training experience. Send me a email to guruliam@hotmail.com
I've have set this up primary, as I want to spread the beautiful art of silat and especially Pukulan Cimande my main art. I understand there are so few teachers, and that students may live to far away from a teacher they want to learn from, and I want to be able to offer in someway a opportunity for you to experience this art and to see its unique combat effectiveness steep in beautiful traditional culture of Indonesia. This programme is open to anyone who comes along and wants to experience this in a respectful manner.

I dont believe i can put it in a few words, about what the art means to me but i promise ill try to be short.
Ive been training so far for the last 3 years, and though some could say that its because my significant other is doing this i am involved i could say that's not true, as many realised by now, if i dont wanna do something i wont do it no matter what. Anyway, Silat to me is more thatn exercise it is a life style, dedication and beyond. To me it's passion, confidence and graciousness and the movement no matter how destructive it could be, i think thats the beauty of it, it is just absolutly beautiful. Time you guys you will find, if you really want to experience the beauty of what we are doing. And I hope its just not a time killer for you guys, because i believe all of you agree, that no matter what after training you all feel reenergised de-stressed and so on, because i felt it not once but on a many occassions, when the last thing i wanted to do was to go training, and my mind was screaming for a time to "rest". "relax" and so on, but i tell you guys, there is no better time, no matter how tired or stressed you are is to spend training, apart from building your confidence you get things you cant explain but you know how you feel, and i could say that maybe its a little sore after training in a way you are a recharged man after the training.
