Festive Season

As we approach the end of the year, its usually a time for reflection over the year and a chance to meet family and friends, to have fun in a time of good will, to get refresh and look forward to a New Year, with new habits and goals.
When we look back over 2009 we see it was a year where we gain more independence as a Association. New Branches were open in Palmerstown, Balgaddy, Lucan and Athlone, new children classes were set up. New students and groups join our Long Distance Programe from not only Europe, but from America, Africa and Asia making Combat Silat International and Pukulan Cimande Combat a Global Association. 2009 was the year when we hosted one of the greats in Martial Arts Guru Cass Magda, we had a excellent Spring Camp, and asked to perform Silat by the Indonesian Community, to name a few of the highlights.

2010 will be the year we strengthen our bonds with our fellow Cimande brothers and sisters around the world and help our beautiful art spread. Many great projects that we have been working on so hard behind the scenes will finally come to bear. In January the CSI Logo Patch, Membership Book will be available. Our improve Long Distance Training programe will be officially open and will be making training in Pukulan Cimande Combat a exciting experience. In Feb our new Training Dvd's will be coming on line, and this will mean students will be able to follow directly from the Dvd the syllabus. Also in Feb we will have computerise our entire Administration, which will keep a up to date record of students training and achievements. 2009 will also be the year of my 25th Anniversary of teaching Silat so we will have lots of exciting events throughout the year.
I like to thank all my students and give my heart felt best wishes for support you have all given me this past 12 months, which in times of great adversity has given me the strength to carry on.

I like to wish you all a great Festive Season and a wonderful 2010 and look forward to seeing you all again, and spending time with you training in Cimande.

Best wishes to all Silat Players and their families everywhere.
Liam
